New Haiku Girl Summer Site is Live

I’m happy to announce that migration to our new platform went well! The site which will host the 2026 issue (and contains our entire archive) is now available at https://www.haikugirlsummer.com/.

I will no longer be making updates on this version of the journal. If you wish to subscribe, you can do so at the new site. All Substack subscribers have been imported to the new site, and will start receiving emails when I make new posts.

While I’m still tweaking some things on the new site, migration went so well that I’m ahead of schedule, so be on the lookout for calls for a new editorial assistant, as well as this year’s guest editors, earlier than expected (late March or early April rather than mid-April). 2026 submissions will go live on May 15th.

The fate of this version of the site is still in question. On the one hand, Substack does not offer me a way to prevent new subscriptions, and I got new subscribers from the post saying we were leaving the platform! To avoid that confusion in the future, my ideal plan would be to archive this version or make it private. However, that has its own drawbacks. One of those is that so many of you have shared links to your poems from the old site, and those would now be broken. My hope is that I can figure out how to set up a redirect from the old URL to the new site.
